Type: Compound Miter Saw
Compare Specs. With Other Miter Saws
The DeWalt 10-inch single-bevel compound miter saw delivers precise, rapid cuts to finish the job, whether you’re cutting crown molding or baseboards. This saw is equipped for a variety of miter cutting and cross cutting applications, due to its easily adjustable cam-lock miter handle, useful bevel and miter stops, powerful motor and high fence for large decorative moldings. It also has a durable, sharp carbide blade, and it comes with a blade wrench and handy dust bag.
The DeWalt DW713 (Amazon.com link) quickly cuts your framing and molding, and can perform any other miter-cutting and crosscutting jobs. Its rugged stainless steel detent plate has eleven positive stops, including 0-, 15-, 22.5-, 31.625-, and 45 degrees left and right, for greater accuracy.
This amazing machine is also laser compatible, and is designed for use with the DW7187 DeWalt® adjustable miter saw laser system and the DWS 7085 LED worklight. The high sliding fences conveniently support crown molding up to 4½ inches vertically. The fences easily slide aside for bevel cuts. Its machined base fence support ensures that the fence remains perpendicular with the blade for more accurate cuts.
A cam miter lock helps ensure precise and fast miter-table positioning, while a miter-detent override supports fine adjustment and an accurate miter angle. This saw has a miter capacity of 0-50 degrees left and right and bevels of 3-48 degrees for increased cut capacity. The machine is lightweight, weighing only 35 lbs, and it has a built-in carrying handle for greater portability.
Blade and Motor
This compound miter saw is built around a 15-amp, 5000 RPM motor for more strength and power for its cutting blade. This powerful motor makes the saw blaze through any type of material imaginable, and cutting, framing, molding or trim is easy.

The 10-inch carbide blade has convenient keyless changes. Carbide allows for greater precision, and the saw delivers quick cuts that are also exceptionally precise for finishing the job perfectly, whether it be cutting baseboards or crown molding.
DeWalt will repair, without charge, any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for three years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover part failure due to tool abuse or normal wear. They will also maintain the tool and replace worn parts caused by normal use for free, any time during the first year after purchase. If you’re not completely satisfied with the performance of your saw for any reason, you can return it within ninety days from the date of purchase for a full refund: no questions asked.
I find this warranty to be short, compared to other miter saws such as the Hitachi C10FCE2. On the other hand, the return policy is very good, and I like the fact that they maintain the tool and replace worn parts for free, for an entire year.
When you pair functionality and price with the strength and precision of the DeWalt brand, you get what you pay for and more with the DW713. It gives you beautifully crisp cuts not only for lumber, but also on PVC pipes, vinyl siding, steel tubing and aluminum sheeting. It’s perfect for most projects and budgets, and at 35 pounds with a carrying handle, you can use it anywhere. I rate the DeWalt DW713 a definite buy on all counts – this saw will give you excellent service for years to come.
